The Flagler County School Board has approved a new post-storm calendar to make up the five schools days lost during Hurricane Hermine and Hurricane Matthew.

Last week, the district used Oct. 14 — previously a teacher workday — to make up one of the days. The district said it wanted to make up the lost days within the first semester.

Students will now go to class Nov. 21 and Nov. 22. Those days were originally part of a week-long break surrounding Thanksgiving Day.

Additionally, March 10 and April 14 will now be school days. They were previously set as teacher work days.
