Orlando police are reaching out to the public to help find the killer or killers who killed a husband and wife at their Orlando apartment.

Piterson Delhomme, 25, and his wife, 26-year-old Renee Collins, were found dead in their apartment at the Eagle Reserve Apartment Complex on Cinderlane Parkway July 17.

Orlando Police Department Detective Michael Moreschi would not go into detail but made it clear these were extremely violent murders. He described the killer as a very depraved individual. Worst of all, he says the murders happened right in front of the couple’s 2-year-old son.

“The person who did this killed two unarmed non-threatening really good people and there is just absolutely no excuse for it,” said Moreschi.

Moreschi said he and other investigators are trying to make any sense of the murders.

“We’ve spent the last couple weeks investigating the case and now we are asking for the public’s help to solve this,” said Moreschi.

He says someone out there has information and they need to come forward because investigators have no clue why the couple would have been attacked with their 2-year-old in the room.

“They were not just low risk victims, they were no risk victims,” said Moreschi.

Moreschi says Renee worked for Wells Fargo Bank and Piterson was a security guard. He described the couple’s final hours beginning on the night of July 16.

“Piterson went back to work that evening, that night as a security guard up in Altamonte Springs and he stayed there until 6 o’clock in the morning.  Then by 8 o’clock that morning he and Renee were dead,” said Moreschi.

Right now it is not known if there was more than one attacker but the murders were very violent.

“This is easily one of the most violent scenes that I’ve ever been to. It is made more horrific by the fact that that PJ definitely saw what happened to his parents,” said Moreschi.
