The former mayor of the Town of Eatonville is challenging the results of last month's election.
Former Mayor Bruce Mount filed a civil complaint monday against Anthony Grant and the Orange County Canvassing Board.
Mount is questioning the validity of 196 absentee votes counted in Grant's favor.
Grant was elected mayor March 7. He had been mayor for 15 years, but not without some controversy, including questions about financial practices.
Grant won the election with 272 votes to Mount's 159. However, most of those votes from 196 absentee ballots.
By contrast, the other three mayoral candidates got 150 absentee ballots put together.
