Backyard chickens are coming home to roost in Deltona.
Leaders in the Volusia County city approved the ordinance on a 5 to 2 vote Monday.
The first vote was held on March 2.
If it passes, a limited number of permits will be given out.
Those who receive the permits will be able to raise the chickens under certain circumstances for a one year trial period.
