A boat and several all-terrain vehicles were destroyed Thursday after a large garage caught fire in Volusia County.
Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office are trying to determine how the fire started at the garage, which is located in a rural area on the west side of DeLand.
No one was injured in the fire. Officials with Volusia County Fire Services said the blaze could have been much worse, but the flames were extinguished before reaching several gas tanks that were inside the garage.
Investigators said they aren’t sure of a dollar amount for the fire damage and the loss of the contents inside the garage.
