A 64-year-old woman was killed and a 59-year-old man was critically injured Monday afternoon when a car collided with their motorcycle in Brevard County, troopers said.

At about 2 p.m., a 2003 Chevy Impala driven by Tiffany Esser, 27, of Cocoa, was stopped southbound on Satellite Boulevard, about to make a left turn to travel east on State Road 520. When the Impala turned onto the roadway, it moved into the direct path of a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling west on S.R. 520.

The motorcycle struck the Impala on the left side. Passenger Linda Lockhart and driver Michael Faby, both of Cocoa and who were not wearing helmets, were ejected from the bike. They were taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. Esser was taken to Wuestoff Medical Center in Melbourne with minor injuries.

Alcohol is not thought to be a factor in the crash, but the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, troopers said.
