The SunRail Connector to Orlando International Airport is one step closer to reality.
The Federal Transit Administration says the project can move into the development phase of the Federal Small Starts program.
The Florida Department of Transportation says the project could cost as much as $225 million to complete.
FDOT says it may seek up to $74.99 million in funding from the federal government.
The connector is expected to begin service in 2020.
