Southwest Middle School is back open and Turner Elementary School is no longer on lockdown following a bomb threat late Friday morning.

Investigators said the threat was called in to Southwest Middle School around 11 a.m. Friday.

Southwest Middle School students and staff were evacuated next door to Turner Elementary School, which was then locked down as police investigated the middle school campus.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office brought a bomb-sniffing dog to sweep the area.

Around 1:10 p.m., police issued an all clear on the Southwest Middle campus and Students at both schools resumed their normal school activities.

Police said they found no threat to student safety.
