Orange County deputies have arrested a 49-year-old man accused of kidnapping and sexually battering a co-worker Thursday while she was on the job at Walt Disney World.

Gideon Hunte, of Kissimmee, was booked into the Orange County Jail early Friday morning. Deputies said the attack happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to an arrest report, the victim told deputies she was at work, when Hunte forced her into a custodial closet and sexually assaulted her.

Deputies said the woman only knew Hunte — and his name — from passing him in the hallway at work, and the two otherwise had no prior relationship.

The victim said she never stopped resisting Hunte during the attack, which she estimated lasted 3–5 minutes. She said the suspect only let her go because she refused to stop fighting to get away and ignored his demands to lower her voice.

Investigators said the victim notified her supervisor, who immediately called law enforcement.

When deputies arrived, they located and arrested Hunte after questioning him.

A Walt Disney World spokeswoman confirmed Hunte has been placed on unpaid leave pending the Sheriff's Office investigation:

This is a law enforcement matter. He has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the charges. We have zero tolerance for this type of alleged behavior.
