Central Florida is bracing for another round of freezing temperatures and patchy frost, as overnight lows will plunge into the lower 30s, and even lower in Marion County.

    • 11 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday for Marion.
  • Freeze Warning
    • 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Thursday for Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia.
    • 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday for Flagler.

Light winds and clear skies will yield morning lows in the low 30s Thursday morning. The coldest readings, in the mid- to upper 20s to near 30 degrees, will occur in Marion County. A hard freeze warning has been issued there for the risk of temperatures falling below 27 degrees for at least two hours. Remember to protect sensitive plants or bring them indoors to avoid damage. Be sure to check on the elderly and make sure your pets are warm, too.

A slight warm-up will unfold on Thursday, with highs returning to near 60 degrees under sunny skies.

Another push of cooler air will arrive on Friday following a weak cold front, forcing highs back down into the mid- to upper 50s.

Friday night’s low temperatures will drop into the 30s one more time before a moderate warm-up occurs on Saturday and Sunday.  Sunny and temperatures in the mid-60s on Saturday and increased clouds with highs in the lower 70s on Sunday.
