Several cars caught fire early this morning in a downtown Orlando condo complex parking lot.

Orlando Fire Rescue was called to the Uptown Place condominium complex at 911 North Orange Avenue around 4:15 a.m. for the report of a car fire.

When fire crews arrived they found five cars on fire.  Fire alarms at nearby buildings were set off for people nearby to evacuate for their safety.  The residents were evacuated for a short period of time and have returned to their homes.

The garage was closed for about three hours and fire crews cleaned up the area.  Fire investigators said the preliminary investigation shows that the fire was not intentionally set and was accidental in nature.

No one was injured.
