A Central Florida company is trying to change the food truck industry by making the trucks in downtown Orlando.

Prestige Food Trucks wants to transform the way people see and use food trucks.

As customers enjoy the many options that come with food trucks gathered on one place, the question of where they come from isn’t often considered.

Food truck Voodoo Kitchen was made in Orlando by a company that is sending them across the nation and worldwide.

Jordan Schild, with Prestige Food Trucks, showed of different models headed for Russia, Texas and Jacksonville.

Schild, along with Jeremy Adams, hope to improve the food truck industry by creating what they call Food Truck Pods.

“They’re basically permanent locations in a strategic area where food trucks essentially pay rent to a landlord and there’s 15 to 20 trucks,” Adams explained.

Some operators have faced opposition in certain locations, despite welcome reception at events like the Lake Mary Festival of the Arts.

For entrepreneurial chefs like Kevin Brune, with the Voodoo Kitchen food truck, it could be a life changer.

A food truck from Prestige Food Trucks starts at $45,000.

If Adams and Schild get their way, you won’t have to travel far to get your favorite foreign dish because you’ll find it in a pod.
