The newly renovated Seminole State Planetarium is set to re-open Friday.

It took more than $150,000 to upgrade, including adaptable seating, a new LED lighting system and a new fish-eye projection system that will open the planetarium to more students student activities, such as game nights and concerts.

Live public shows are presented at the planetarium on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus every Friday and Saturday starting at 8:30 p.m.

All ticket prices are less than $10 and the planetarium is free for Seminole State students, faculty, and staff with a valid school ID.
