One of the individuals educating guests is Madai Favaro, a lifelong educator who celebrated her two-year anniversary at the museum over Memorial Day weekend.

“I remember growing up and lining up my nieces and nephews and playing teacher, and giving them worksheets and things to do, so teaching has really always been my passion," Favaro said.

She attended college and obtained a degree in elementary education, which she used during her time working at a children's museum in Naples and now here at Glazer.

“I love working in the museum space and fell in love with that informal education, where you can work with a family and talk to them and really inspire them," she said.

She puts her education and passion to good use and helped kick off the newest exhibit.

This massive real-life fossil of a triceratop, aptly named Big John, was discovered in South Dakota in the Hell Creek Geological formation in 2014. It's the largest known triceratops skeleton in the world and made its journey to the museum earlier this year.

“It's so cool to be able to share these exhibits, and this one specifically, and to be able to share it with families and see the wonder in their eyes," Favaro said. "It's really special."
