ORLANDO, Fla. — Expect to see more police officers around Boone High School after two suspicious incidents as students were walking home from the Orlando school.

The Orlando Police Department stated that a 14-year-old girl was walking home from school at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday when a man in his 40s in a white pickup truck asked her twice for directions.

It happened less than a mile from the school, near Harding Street and Delaney Avenue.

He then asked her to get in the truck and go with him, but she quickly walked away.

About a half hour later, a man in a vehicle stopped and asked another girl if she could provide directions to the school.

When she got closer to the vehicle, she noticed the man was touching himself.

"I can tell you right now if someone were to approach my daughter, there's going to be problems, there's going to be big problems," said parent Spencer Osburn, "an adult should in no way, shape or form be approaching, or telling a child to come to them, I'm sorry it's absolutely ridiculous."

One of the girls described the man as being in his 40s.

At this time, police do not have enough information to figure out if the two incidents are related.

The district recommends parents should tell their kids that if you see something suspicious, say something.

They also encourage kids to walk in pairs or groups when they head home from school.

Authorities have not released a description of the two men.
