Detectives from the St. Cloud Police Department and the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said they went to the home of Rafael Primera, following up on Sunday's shooting that left 57-year-old Robert Latopolski dead and his estranged wife injured.
"We discovered there was a screen pulled off one of the windows as they continued toward the back of the residence. They heard noises coming from the inside, and shortly after, they heard what was a gunshot," St. Cloud Police Sgt. Frankie De La Rosa said.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office and a SWAT team were called in to assist.
Authorities think they found Primera in the home dead from a gunshot wound, with the Sheriff's Office saying it may have been a suicide. However, it will be up to the Medical Examiner's Office to determine whether the dead man is Primera.
Primera is accused of shooting his estranged wife and killing her boyfriend, Latopolski, at a mobile home park in St. Cloud over the weekend.
