WINTER PARK, Fla. — It’s a new course at Rollins College that gives students the rare opportunity to learn about a pandemic — coronavirus — while it’s still happening.

The class is a first for Rollins College. Eight professors from different disciplines, including business, anthropology, biology, English, got together to teach the course.

Each one of them talking about the coronavirus crisis filtered through their area of expertise.

One professor who teaches the course said it’s rare that course learning directly connects with what is currently happening in life. A student said the class made a big difference in helping her understand the coronavirus crisis.

The COVID -19 class was so popular, Rollins College has decided to do it again.

This time, they’re offering it exclusively to incoming freshman.
