ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld Orlando and its new Ice Breaker roller coaster took top spots in USA Today’s latest 10Best Readers’ Choice poll.

​The theme park was voted the best theme park in North America, according to results from the online poll. The only other Florida park to make the top 10 was Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, which came in fifth.

Other parks that made the top 10 list include (in descending order) Silver Dollar City (Branson, Mo.), Kings Island (Mason, Ohio), Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Cedar Point (Sandusky, Ohio), Dollywood (Pigeon Forge, Tenn.), Six Flags Magic Mountain (Valencia, Calif.), Holiday World (Santa Claus, Indiana) and HersheyPark (Hershey, Penn.).

SeaWorld also won the best new attraction category with its Ice Breaker coaster. The ride, which debuted in February, was voted No. 1 over other Florida attractions such as Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster at Peppa Pig Theme Park, which finished second.

Busch Gardens’ Iron Gwazi also made the list, coming in seventh, while Universal’s Jurassic World VelociCoaster finished ninth.

In the best theme park entertainment category, Florida parks had a strong showing.

“Turn It Up!” at Busch Gardens finished second, followed by “Fantasmic!” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in fifth, The Bourne Spectacular at Universal Studios Florida in sixth, “Harmonious” at Epcot in seventh, “Disney Enchantment” at Magic Kingdom in eighth, “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in ninth and “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in 10th.

The nominees in each 10Best Readers’ Choice category are selected by a panel of experts and editors. The winners are then determined by online votes.
