ORLANDO, Fla. — Although Halloween is still several months away, Disney is getting into the season early with its "Halfway to Halloween" celebration.
What You Need To Know
- Disney celebrating "Halfway to Halloween" this week
- The celebration includes Halloween-themed treats at the parks and announcements
- Last year, Disney offered a new after-hours event during the Halloween season called Boo Bash
The company will be celebrating all this week on its social media channels by revealing Halloween-inspired treats visitors can get at the parks as well as park announcements.
“During our big, daylong #HalfwaytoHalloween celebration on Thursday, it’s nothing but treats as we share several frightfully fantastic Disney Parks Halloween and other spooky announcements that you won’t want to miss,” according to a blog post.
Some of the treats that will be available at Disney World later this week include a Lady on the Gravestone 50th Chilling Chamber Pop at Magic Kingdom, a Hocus Pocus-inspired Sister’s Elixir Hot Cocoa Bomb at The Ganachery in Disney Springs, and Halloween themed cakes at Gideon’s Bakehouse.
There will also be two popcorn buckets on sale — a Jack Skellington Popcorn Bucket at Magic Kingdom and a Mickey Mummy Popcorn Bucket at Disney Springs. Both will be available April 28 through the month of May, or while supplies last.
Disney hasn’t yet shared how it plans to celebrate the Halloween season at Disney World later this year, although those details could be revealed on Thursday.
During last year’s Halloween season, Disney World offered a new after-hours event at Magic Kingdom called “Disney After Hours Boo Bash.” The event was held in place of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which was canceled during the pandemic.
