The water park has been shuttered since March 2020, when the resort closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Visitors will once again be able to experience the park’s popular attractions, including Miss Adventure Falls, Crush ’n’ Gusher, the Castaway Creek lazy river and the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool.

The park will also restart its surf program, which includes surf lessons and private bookings.

Typhoon Lagoon’s reopening will also include a few updates. The park will get a new frozen dessert menu at its Snack Shack eatery. The menu will include Moana-inspired Dole Whip character cones as well as the option for visitors to customize their own Dole Whip.

There will also be several new menu items to mark Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration, including Walt’s chili nachos at Shake Shack and an EARidescent Ice Dream Cone at Happy Landings.

Typhoon Lagoon is the last to Disney’s two water parks to reopen. Blizzard Beach reopened in March of this year, but is scheduled to close for its annual refurbishment in January.
