ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando plans to hold Halloween Horror Nights this year after canceling the event in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. And apparently, the popular scare fest is in need of dancers.

What You Need To Know

  • Universal seeking dancers for HHN

  • Interested dancers can apply for an audition

  • The Halloween event is scheduled to run September 3-October 31

The resort is looking for dancers for the event, according to a notice on Universal’s audition page.

“Universal Orlando is seeking Male and Female dancers with an athletic build and strong in the dance styles of hip/hop and/or jazz,” the notice said.

Those interested can submit a headshot, resume, full-length photo, demo reel and audition video link online. The notice said select candidates may be invited to participate in callbacks at a later date.

Face coverings will be required for rehearsal and performance dates, the notice said.

Halloween Horror Nights is scheduled to run select nights September 3 through October 31.

The event will feature 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and live entertainment. Although Universal has not yet announced any scare zones or the live entertainment for this year’s event, it did reveal that one of the featured houses will be themed to “Beetlejuice.”

The “Beetlejuice” house was briefly made available to Universal Studios Florida visitors last year as part of the park’s special fall offerings. Visitors were also given access to two other houses—Bride of Frankenstein Lives and Revenge of the Tooth Fairy.

Universal has had enhanced health and safety measures in place at its parks since reopening last summer. The resort plans to release specific details about health and safety measure for Halloween Horror Nights closer to the event.
