ORLANDO, Fla. – Gatorland is getting into the Halloween spirit with a new event called Gators, Ghosts and Goblins.

  • Gatorland celebrates Halloween with new family-friendly event
  • Gators, Ghosts and Goblins debuts October 19
  • Event includes animal encounters, a live stage show, themed areas

The family-friendly event include animal encounters, a Bubba and Cooter stage show, live music, games and more.

Themed areas have been set up throughout Gatorland, each offering a different aspect of Halloween. There's the Cryptozoo, where visitors can come face-to-face with Skunk Ape, Florida's version of Bigfoot. In the Cemetery of the Darned section, a gravedigger greets visitors and offers them a chance to step inside a nearby coffin. At the Swamp Ghost Museum, visitors see a werewolf or a vampire. Plaques outside the museum detail the history of Halloween.

And at Frank & Stein's Octoberfest, visitors can enjoy live German-inspired music and food.

Bubba and Cooter headline the Monster Movie Madness Show, a live stage show they wrote and produced themselves. And members of the audience may be called on to participate.

Gators, Ghosts and Goblins runs October 19, 20, 26, 27 and 31. It's included with regular admission.
