ORLANDO, Fla. – Epcot Forever, the new nighttime fireworks show at Disney World, debut Tuesday, serving as a temporary replacement for "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth," which ended its 20-year run the night before.

In addition to fireworks, the new show includes lasers, glowing kites and music from Epcot's past and present. Unlike its predecessor, Epcot Forever is narrated by children.

The 12-minute show opens with a rendition of "One Little Spark," the song many will know from the Journey Into Imagination attraction.  There are also musical nods to the now-defunct attractions such as Universe of Energy, Kitchen Kabaret and the Tapestry of Nations parade. Soarin' and Spaceship Earth also get nods.

The glowing kites change colors as they are pulled above the World Showcase Lagoon by watercraft. Lasers are also used create lighting effects throughout the show.

The show also has an "explosion in the sky"-type fireworks finale.

Epcot Forever runs for a limited time before the more permanent show HarmonioUS debuts in 2020.

The new shows are part of Epcot's multi-year-transformation, which includes new experiences such as a Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, a Mary Poppins attraction, a Moana-inspired attraction, a space-themed restaurant and a redesigned park entrance.
