ORLANDO, Fla. – New details have been released for Jaleo, a new restaurant coming to Disney Springs.

  • Jaleo set to open this winter at Disney Springs
  • New renderings showcase restaurant's interior, exterior design
  • Spanish-inspired menu featuring tapas

The restaurant, which is slated to open this winter, will serve Spanish cuisine from celebrity chef Jose Andres.

New renderings shared Tuesday offer a glimpse at the restaurant's interior and exterior design.

Jaleo is designed to look like an artichoke, with the roofing resembling the plant's petals.

"There are no cubic forms, no opaque walls, no straight lines: here reigns a plant-like organic structure with its dynamic forms," said Juli Capella, principal at Capella Garcia Arquitectura.

The restaurant will feature typical Spanish colors of "citrus, namely orange and lemon," inside and out. The two-story restaurant will offer two terraces—one that overlooks the lake, while the other overlooks the Disney Springs promenade.

Spanish artwork will also be on display, including photographer Rafael Vargas' "Suit of Lights."

The full-service menu will include small plates, or tapas, such as paellas and grilled meats.

Jaleo will also feature a quick-service window that will serve dishes inspired by Spanish street food, including sandwiches and salads. It will be located in the front corner of Jaleo and overlook the main promenade.

According to a news release, the Disney Springs location will be the Andres' largest restaurant to date.

Andres' ThinkFoodGroup worked with Spanish design firm Capella Garcia Arquitectura on the project.

Jaleo is slated to open this winter, replacing Wolfgang Puck's Grand Bistro which closed in 2017.
