ORLANDO, Fla. – Halloween Horror Nights will return to Universal Orlando earlier than ever before in 2019, the resort announced Wednesday.

  • HHN 29 to start earlier in 2019
  • The event will kick off Sept. 6

HHN 29 will kick off on September 6, a week earlier than this year's edition.

The change was made "due to popular demand and the incredible growth of the event," Universal said in a news release. Earlier this year, Universal added an extra event day to HHN 28 because of demand.

Halloween Horror Nights is an after-hours, special ticketed event that features scare zones and haunted houses themed after popular films, TV series and original content. Previous houses have included American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, and most recently Stranger Things.

Universal says more information about next year's event, including specific event dates, will be released in the coming months.

Halloween Horror Nights 2019 will run select nights September 6 through November 2.
