ORLANDO, Fla. -- SeaWorld Orlando has debuted a brand-new show starring bottlenose dolphins and their feathered friends, macaws.

  • New show at SeaWorld Orlando
  • Touch the Sky features bottlenose dolphins, macaws
  • It's part of the Electric Ocean event

"Touch the Sky" kicks off the evening lineup of the park's summer event, Electric Ocean (which takes place on select nights).

"We've come every year for five years, and this is probably one of the best," said Dan Nallen, who's visiting from Illinois with his family.

His 10-year-old son Ryan is baffled by the stunts the trainers and dolphins can pull off together during the 30-minute show.

"Balancing the trainers,  I'm like, 'How do they do that?'" he said, as a trainer was getting "pushed" through the water with his feet on a dolphin's nose. "I can barely balance on a ball!"

From underwater tricks to sky-high flips, the dolphins are choreographed alongside macaws, who get up close and personal with the stadium audience.

"We think the wow moment for that show really is the focus on the birds in addition to the dolphins and the story of the macaws," said Steve Welch, entertainment creative director.

Also part of Electric Ocean, theme park guests will see food stations serving street market-inspired noshes from around the world.

Oh, and grown-ups get two free beers.

Touch the Sky starts at 5:45 p.m.

Other activities include "Sea Lions Tonite," a comedy show featuring sea lions; "Pop," a bubble show; and "Ignite," a nighttime show that features dancing fountains, lights, and fireworks.

There's also a family dance party called "Club Sea Glow," which features a DJ and live performers.

Election Ocean is included with park admission and takes place select nights through Sept. 2.
