Kissimmee, Fla. — This week's A+ Teacher was nominated by someone who has never even set foot in her classroom.

Ivelisse Saint-Clair's sister and brother were both students of Nicole Fraticelli. She is a teacher who is described as invested, kind and amazing inside and outside of her math classroom.

Saint-Clair believes the teacher had a huge impact on her sister when she was in the fourth grade as well as her brother and she was blown away that years later, Fraticelli attended her sister's high school graduation.

"I always say that I want them to know that when they leave my room that they will always be one of mine and I will always care about what happens in their lives and how they're doing," said Fraticelli, an instructor at Bellalago Academy in Kissimmee.

Fraticelli says she is just trying to follow in her father's footsteps.

"My father was a teacher and I always loved going to school with him and he was a coach," she added.

Seeing how his love for his students helped them grow had an impact on her. Fraticelli gets emotional talking about him.

"It means more to me than I can say because mentioning my Dad … I lost my Dad nine years ago, but for me it's definitely full circle and I like the phrase," she reflected.

One of her current students, Andrea Gill who is a third grader says, "I don't know how she does it but she makes learning very fun."

Fraticelli says, "I know why (he father) was so happy, so loving and enthusiastic all the time in everything that he did and that really inspires me and I want to be just like that."
