Several rallies, marches, protests and events are planned throughout the city during the Democratic National Convention.
On Monday, a march and rally called "Jaywalk to the DNC" was held by the volunteer group DCMJ to get the Democratic Party to endorse the legalization of cannabis.

As part of the spectacle of the march, the group inflated and carried a 51-foot marijuana joint from Broad Street in Center City to the Wells Fargo Arena.
The joint has become a staple of their events. As a result, they now have three of them: one in Washington D.C., one in New York and now one in Philadelphia.
DCMJ founder Adam Eidinger said the inflatable joint cost about $250 in Home Depot materials to make and is inflated with a fan normally used to cool cows on a farm.
