Master's Academy's first-ever title game appearance started just how head coach Reggie Kohn wanted it to.  The Eagles led by as much as seven in the first quarter over defending 4A champion Westminster Academy.  Then Zachary Scott took over.

The Florida Gulf Coast commit was virtually unstoppable, scoring 35 points to go with 9 rebounds and 6 assists, leading the Lions to a 89-64 win over Master's Academy for the Fort Lauderdale school's third state title in school history.

Westminster Academy outscored Master's Academy by 12 in the second quarter to take a nine-point halftime lead.  The Eagles kept it close through the third quarter, until the Lions exploded for a 31-point fourth quarter to cement the championship.  Sam Griffin scored 19 points, Dudley Blackwell nearly recorded his second triple-double of the Final Four, with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Chase Johnston added 13 points.

University of Maryland-Baltimore County signee Jose Placer scored a team-high 24 points for Master's Academy.  Joseph French hit four three-point FGs and was the only other Eagle in double-digit points, with 12.

It was Kohn's sixth career title-game appearance, but first as the Master's Academy head coach.  He previously led Orlando Christian Prep to four state titles (2009, 2010, 2012 and 2014) and one state runner-up finish.
