Hundreds of University of Central Florida students camped outside of Spectrum Stadium on Monday for a chance to get a ticket to the Peach Bowl on New Year's Day.

Students lined up for as far as the eye could see. They slept on air mattresses, swung between trees in hammocks and lay on the cold concrete in sleeping bags.

Tickets went on sale at 9 a.m. The first 500 students in line got their seats for only $50. After that, the price went up to $150.

While they waited, many played games or music to pass the time, remembering how far their team has come. Two years ago, the Knights lost every scheduled game. But this year, at least so far, it seems they can't lose. On Saturday, the Knights beat Memphis 62-55 in double overtime to win the American Athletic Conference championship.

For now, UCF Coach Scott Frost is expected to coach the team in the bowl game despite his announcement that he's taken the head coaching job at Nebraska.

The Peach Bowl will take place on New Year's Day at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta. The Knights, who are the top scoring offense in the country, will get their shot against the SEC's Auburn Tigers (10-3). Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m.
