The championship showdown between two powerhouse programs in the Lake Highland Prep Highlanders (25-2) and the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (30-2) ended with the Buccaneers victorious at UNF Arena in Jacksonville, FL. It took every bit of five sets for the Buccaneers who hoist its 16th state title.

Mackenzie Dagostino, daughter of Buccaneers coaching legend Randy, captured a state title in her first season as head coach, 4th overall as a Berkeley Prep coach and player.

Berkeley Prep was led by Spectrum Sports Player of the game Kellyn Trowse and her 17 kills. Jenna Hampton added an impressive 14 kills.

Lake Highland Prep came up just short in its fight for its 6th state championship. The gritty Highlanders were led by Taylor O’Neal’s incredible 23 kill performance.
