The Florida Swimming Pool Association hosted its 35th annual swim meet Saturday at the YMCA Aquatic Center on International Drive. Over fifty schools from across the state traveled in to take part in this "pre-state" invitational.

The final heat events kicked off at 6:00pm and it was swimming powerhouse Bolles High School who swooped in to sweep the first four events. But it was not until late in the evening that the fans were on their feet. Ryan Murphy, Joseph Schooling, Santo Condorelli and Josh Booth made up the Bulldogs 200 and 400 yard freestyle relay teams that broke not one but two national records Saturday night.

The Bolles School boys 200 yard freestyle relay broke the national record set in 1996 with a time of 1:20.88 and broke the national record set in 1999 for the 400 yard freestyle with a time of 2:58.58.

Defending 100 yard butterfly champion Dr. Phillips' Angela Algee finished first in the pool with a time of 56.09 and East Lake's sensational sophomore Sydney Pickrem clamped down the number one spot in the 200 yard IM (2:01.25) almost four seconds faster than any of her competitors.
