Though Hurricane Sandy is still off the Florida coast and is not expected to reach land until Saturday Brevard and Volusia County Schools have decided to cancel all extracurricular activities Friday including Friday night football.
Brevard County has closed school on Friday and has either moved games to today (Thursday) or is working on postponing games until Monday.
Thursday: St. Edward's at Florida Air High, 7pm
Monday: Bayside at Palm Bay 7pm, Eau Gallie at Cocoa 6:30pm, Melbourne at Heritage 7pm
Volusia County will still hold school on Friday but like Brevard will have all field trips and games cancelled.
Thursday: Jacksonville Sandalwood at Flagler Palm Coast 7 p.m., Seabreeze at Pine Ridge 7 p.m., Mainland at Deltona 7 p.m., Kissimmee Poinciana at Atlantic 7 p.m., Spruce Creek at Neptune Beach Fletcher 7 p.m.
Friday: Ocala St. John Lutheran at Warner Christian 7 p.m., Calvary Christian at Father Lopez 7 p.m., Matanzas at Ponte Vedra Nease 7 p.m., Trinity Christian at Crawfordville Wakulla 7 p.m.
Monday: Orange City University @ Lyman 6:30 p.m., Jacksonville Mandarin at DeLand 7 p.m. (Spec Martin Memorial Stadium)
