ORLANDO, Fla. -- The race for Florida's Attorney General takes center stage on Political Connections Sunday.

Republican candidate Frank White, a current state representative from Pensacola, will be on the show.

We ask him about current Attorney General Pam Bondi, how he thinks the attorney general's role should be handled with respect to the United States and Florida constitutions, and more.

White also spoke about his feeling on Amendment 4, which is on the ballot this November. The amendment to the Florida Constitution allows for automatic restoration of voting rights to non-violent felons. This is what he said:

"I'm opposed to automatic restoration of voting rights. I just... it's one of those things that it's just it's not... it's not right for Florida, and if somebody does show that they they disrespect our laws, they break our laws, to automatically restore them after a given period of time is... I'm not there," he said.

"I do think we need a path, a path to restore all civil rights, and I think we can do better," White continued. "I look forward to getting on the Cabinet and hearing the other's ideas. I've a particular path I think would respect the victims of crimes, and also the rights of those who have broken our laws, and who have been shown through a period time that they're not going to do it anymore."

We'll also examine the new Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, and we talk to John Upchurch, one of the Democratic candidates for US House District 6, representing Volusia and Flagler counties.
