Dozens of seniors continue to tap dance their way through their golden years.

1. The Golden Steppers is touted as a senior citizen tap dance ensemble.

2. The group consists of ladies (and one lucky gentlemen) from ages 62 to nearly 90.

3. Martha Seymour is the troupe’s leader and choreographer. She joined the Steppers back in 1989. “So we must be doing something right,” she laughed.

4. The Steppers started in a Cocoa Beach senior center. But the dancers outgrew it, and the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse took them in.

5. The newest show is called The Golden Steppers: "5, 6, 7, 8.” It’s at the Cocoa Village Playhouse April 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20.
