ORLANDO, Fla. — Valentine’s Day evening will have a significant closure in east Orange County as the State Road 417 ramp to State Road 408 Westbound will be closed for bridge work starting at 10 pm.

The detour route has you going past the interchange to Colonial Drive where you can enter the southbound side of SR-417 and head to the 408 westbound ramp from that direction.

I-4 Ultimate work will cause some navigation issues near downtown Orlando. Kaley Avenue will be completely shut down overnight until the 18th underneath I-4 for ongoing bridge work in that area as well.

The detour route has you taking Division Avenue to Michigan Street to Orange Blossom Trail where you can head north back to Kaley or south to I-4 because the Westbound on-ramp to I-4 from Kaley will be closed as well.

To Brevard County we go in the Viera area where a new traffic pattern is opening up a single lane of the brand new Diverging Diamond Interchange. You still won’t be able to access the interstate from Viera Boulevard, but you can at least cross over I-95.

Here’s what it should look like when it’s done: The DDI is sometimes called a crisscross interchange because it eliminates the need to turn left across traffic. Instead, vehicles trade sides.
