ORLANDO, Fla. — Rain chances will pick up slightly as we head into Saturday afternoon, but it will not be a complete washout.

Cool temperatures started our Friday, but quickly climbed into the upper 70s to low 80s once again for the afternoon.

A few more clouds moved in for the afternoon, but the majority of the day held mostly sunny skies. The extra clouds are from moisture starting to move back into Central Florida ahead of a front.

This front will increase rain chances this weekend and drop temperatures back slightly.

Clouds will increase through the overnight hours as a front gets closer to Central Florida. There may be a few coastal showers as we head toward daybreak, but most will be dry.

Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to low 60s.

Expect mostly cloudy skies and breezy wind with temperatures a little cooler Saturday. Highs will be in the mid to low 70s for most with even some spots not getting out of the 60s.

The front will stick around Sunday, keeping showers around. It will lift slightly north, allowing for temperatures to be warmer in the mid to upper 70s.

We warm back into the 80s early next work week, but another front will bring a slight drop and more rain by mid-week.

SURF FORECAST

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for Saturday, with seas 5-7 feet and strong northeasterly winds. Surfers will have poor conditions, with a rising northeasterly windswell. The rip current threat is moderate for Saturday, with Atlantic water temps in the 50s to low 60s.
