MELBOURNE, Fla. — Melbourne Police are working to find out who is responsible after a woman was found dead on the side of the road.

"I told you, she's laying on the floor, unconscious," a man is heard answering a question from a dispatcher on a 911 call.
The woman in her 60s was found Monday night by her brother near Paradise Cay apartments, down from the railroad tracks on Post Road.
At this point, police are calling her death suspicious as they await autopsy results.
Nearby business owner Paula Shenbum says she's worried about her safety.
"I'm seriously concerned, because sometimes I'm alone here," she said Wednesday. "And for more customers, I hope somehow they get the suspect."
