One person was killed Sunday morning in a Sumter County crash involving an RV on Interstate 75. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a passenger in the RV was ejected from the vehicle in the crash, which happened just after 8 a.m. Troopers said the crash happened near Wildwood on I-75 near mile marker 325. 

Troopers said the 31-year-old driver and passenger were traveling southbound on I-75 on the inside lane when the vehicle went off the road and struck a guard rail. The unnamed passenger fell out of the left side of the vehicle. 

The passenger was flown to Ocala Regional Hospital in unknown condition. Hours later, troopers announced that person died. The victim's name has not been released.

The driver was not injured. 

The crash remains under investigation.
