Marjorie Ann Smith has been charged with child neglect, resisting law enforcement with violence, DUI, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver's license/never had one, according to a Sheriff's Office arrest affidavit.

Smith, 27, was driving a white Infiniti SUV southbound on State Road 19 on Tuesday where the deputy estimated "the vehicle's speed at 95 mph in a posted 55 mph zone," the affidavit said. Deputies later determined the Infiniti's speed was about 90 mph.

The deputy saw the SUV swerving "very erratically" from the inside to the outside lane and continued to change lanes while speeding in heavy traffic," according to the affidavit.

Smith slured her speech and was unsteady on her feet during the traffic stop and became argumentative. She also called the deputy a racial epithet, the affidavit said.

After Smith was in the patrol car, she screamed, banged her head against the glass and tried to kick out the back window, deputies said.

As deputies talked to two young children in the SUV, they spotted drug paraphernalia, cash and and a 9mm handgun that was fully loaded with a round in the chamber, a deputy wrote in the affidavit.

Smith was taken to South Lake Hospital, where she tried to bite deputies and nurses, the affidavit said.

She is being held on $14,000 bond.
