Melbourne Police Department is investigating an incident at Lizzy’s Restaurant Tuesday night where multiple people reportedly shot firearms.

Police responded to the outdoor restaurant at 1301 East University Boulevard in Melbourne, where several shots were fired into a large crowd, says officials.
One person was taken to an area hospital due to injuries from shrapnel and shattered glass.
Due to the crowd being large, police say they had a difficult time identifying suspects involved, who ultimately fled the scene before they arrived, according to a news release.
There were no other victims.
