ORLANDO, Fla. — A soggy start to our Sunday, thanks to the movement of a well-advertised cold front across Florida today.

The good news is that clouds and rain stabilized the atmosphere enough to keep most severe weather at bay.

Lingering showers push off shore tonight, as the front drags in another round of cool, dry air. Our sky gradually clears around sunrise, leaving us with a mostly sunny Monday. Highs tomorrow stay several degrees below average as we level off in the lower 60s. Another area of low pressure developing off our coast Monday night will combine with high pressure moving in our direction to produce breezy conditions Tuesday, and will reinforce a chill in the air. We'll drop into the upper 30s to lower 40s Monday night, then most of us are stuck in the 50s for highs Tuesday.

Another cold morning will greet us Wednesday, with lows in the 30s north and west of I-4, and lower 40s elsewhere. High pressure drifts to our east and brings our wind onshore. This may allow enough moisture to move toward the coast for a small shower chance east of I-95 Thursday. Temps climb from the mid to upper 60s Wednesday to upper 60s and lower 70s Thursday.

A developing storm over the southern U.S. drags the next front in our direction by Friday. Ahead of it, highs warm well into the 70s. Showers and storms are looking fairly high as we round out the week ahead.
