BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Brevard County woman is trying to help a family who lost a child and their house in a fire.

The fire happened early Friday morning in Mims. At the time of the fire, four adults and three children were inside the house. A 6-year-old girl named Rocsi was killed.

Rockledge Country Club General Manager Andrea Beyel saw images of the fire and wanted to help.

"I don't know how you get out of bed," Beyel said. "I can't imagine the devastation that this will go on forever."

The Rockledge Country Club and Andrea's Salon in Cocoa are accepting donations the family.

"I can't stress enough that this feels so immediate," Beyel said. "They need toiletries, clothing and they need a roof over their head."

As a mother and grandmother, Beyel says getting behind a family in need is just the right thing to do. She can't imagine how it would feel to lose a loved one in a fire especially a child.

Beyel says she understands the family is not only in need of essentials, they are mourning and in the process of planning a funeral and that's why she felt the need to get people involved.

“Let us the community help them get back on their feet,” Beyel said.

The family has posted a GoFundMe fundraiser.
