ORLANDO, Fla. — Temperatures were cool to start the day, in the mid to upper 50s for most.

We had high clouds stream in for the afternoon, but southerly wind helped to heat us up quickly. Highs made it into the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. It will be quiet overnight ahead of a front that will bring a decent chance for showers and storms Sunday. This front will cool us back down by Monday.

Clouds will thicken overnight as a cold front moves closer to Central Florida. The majority of the night will be rain free, however, showers will start to increase beginning around 8am Sunday morning. Temperatures will begin the day in the mid to upper 60s.

Showers will start to move in from the west Sunday morning, then spread east as we head toward lunch and into the afternoon hours. There is a chance for a few storms, some of which could be on the stronger side. The main threat will be gusty wind, but heavy rain and lightning will also be an issue. The rain is expected to move out Sunday evening and we'll begin to clear heading into Monday.

The start of our work week will be cooler than the weekend with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
