Jeremiah Baxter gets emotional thinking about the loss of a very good friend. Baxter said he didn't know where his life was going when he met Ingraham at BCU. Ingraham encouraged him to get into amateur boxing.

"He was like my little brother to me," Baxter said. "I love that man. I have been up all night. I love that man, he had a good heart."

Baxter said Ingraham had a bright future ahead in boxing. He said he's making his friend one promise--to keep fighting.

"It's tough but I got you bro," Baxter said. "I know you are looking down. I know."

BCU will be offering conseling services to any students who may need it.

"We become family when we come to Bethune Cookman in many ways. So we are here to provide counseling service to any other students that might have been affected by this, whether they are related to them or they knew them from their hometown, those kinds of things," interim president Hubert Grimes said.

Late Saturday, charged 19-year-old Damon Kemp with two counts of second-degree murder. Kemp was arrested Friday on an armed burglary charge.

The investigation remains ongoing.
