ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando locals are celebrating more than 10 years of Christmas downtown.

For the 11th time, the Lake Eola Christmas tree has been lit up to celebrate the holiday season.

The tree at Lake Eola is 72 feet tall, with over 100K LED animated lights, which are synchronized to music for a nightly show that runs through January 5.

At the annual tree lighting in downtown Orlando, Santa Claus also made an appearance.

The tree-lighting ceremony is a part of the City of Orlando’s Downtown for the Holidays. Through the entire month of December, the city offers free events for the community to celebrate the season.
