Ruddel Pierre, 25, reportedly shot 40-year-old Tamalari Arnold on Harwich Street.

Arnold was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she later died.

Pierre then fled the scene in a Kia Optima after forcing another woman into the car at gunpoint.

After an hours-long search, police located Pierre in a nearby park and took him into custody. The woman who was forced into the car was found safe, police said.

Larry Bridges watched as police arrested Pierre.

"He was actually hiding up under the slide," Bridges said. "I'm glad they caught him because something else could have happened."

Bridges has children and is now concered for their safety.

"It's a family park," he said. "All the kids when they come over here to visit, they want to go to the park or play basketball. Now, it's not safe for them to do that."
