TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- A 34-year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection to a Sept. 12 hit-and-run crash that injured a bicyclist, according to police.

Alexander Edward Birmingham was charged with leaving the scene of a crash and driving with a suspended license.

According to police, Birmingham hit a woman on a bicycle outside the Cumberland Farms convenience store. Investigators say Birmingham stopped, exited the vehicle and approached the bicyclist. However, he quickly got back into his vehicle and fled the scene. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. 

Police were able to identify Birmingham after recieving an anonymous Crimeline tip.

Birmingham was taken to the Brevard County Jail and held on a $1,000 bond.
