TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa police are on the lookout for a group of laundromat burglars.

According to authorities, the group was caught on surveillance at two Tampa laundromats Aug. 7 trying to break into offices. 

Police said the two men and a women were caught on tape at facilities on West Bougainvillea Avenue and North Boulevard. Officers said they suspect the group has burglarized laundromats along Interstate 4. 

The trio used a crowbar that they hid inside of a laundry basket to pry their way into locked offices. They fled the scene without cash or property in both burglaries.

 

Tampa Police detectives are working closely with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Orlando Police Department, Wildwood Police Department and the Sumter County Sheriff's Office to develop additional information that could lead to the suspects' identity and location.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS. Anonymous tips may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.

The suspects are described as: 

SUSPECT 1: W/M, apprx 5'9", apprx 170 lbs., medium length black hair and eyeglasses

SUSPECT 2: W/M, apprx 6'2", 190 lbs., low cut black hair, full sleeve tattoos on both arms, wore a black short sleeve shirt, dark colored shorts, and black sneakers

SUSPECT 3: W/F, apprx 5'2", 170 lbs., dark brown hair, wore a black shirt, blue jean shorts, and pink sneakers
