CENTRAL FLORIDA -- After some storms in the afternoon, Friday evening was fairly pleasant with temps falling into the 70s. Expect quiet conditions overnight, with partly cloudy skies and morning lows in the low to mid 70s.

More rain is on the way for the weekend. We’ll see a blend of sun and clouds for Saturday, with scattered showers and storms developing in the afternoon.

Coverage will be very similar to Friday, with high temps in the low to mid 90s.

Slightly more moisture will work into the area for Sunday, increasing rain chances.

The best chance for activity will once again be in the PM hours. Highs for Sunday will be in the low 90s.

The typical rainy season weather pattern continues heading into next week. Expect decent coverage of showers and storms for Monday and Tuesday, with the activity in the afternoon and early evening. Highs both days will be in the low 90s.

Wednesday will also feature scattered showers and storms, with dry conditions in the morning. Temps will again climb into the low 90s.

It now looks like slightly drier may push into the area late next week. This will reduce the threat for PM storms on Thursday and Friday, with highs in the low to mid 90s.

Tropical Update

The remnant of Beryl continues to move northward in the western Atlantic. The system may still reorganize this weekend, but it now has a low chance of development.

Elsewhere, no major activity is expected over the next 5 days.

Boaters should again be aware of PM storms with light northwesterly winds and seas 2-3 feet. Surfers will find fair conditions, with an east-south easterly swell.

The rip current threat will remain moderate-to-high on Saturday, so be careful swimming in the Atlantic. Coastal water temps are in the low to mid 80s.
